Last night suddenly a flash, I had headphones on and took a nasty shock.

My wife said she saw dirt flying up from the yard.

The underground dog fence took a hit of some kind and ripped up a trench around my yard.

Some calls being made this morning. Lol 😆

  1. Today I learned that over-energized invisible fence wire can double as det cord.

At least you know where to find it? Wow.

“Told you that thing was bad”

    – the dog, probably.

  4. A local lightning strike destroyed my dog fence electronics (in my shed) a few years ago—burnt circuit board exploded and flew off its wall mount etc.

Um…I spent a few seconds waiting for a video to play…

You can get a lightening suppressor for those fences (I had one). No clue if the suppressor/filter works. I had a fence operating for 20+ years (and we get a lot of lightening) and mine never got hit (that I now of) and my fence was around 2500ft (encircling about 8 acres).
