OLD LYME—Nautilus Architects will host a free presentation on how residential rain gardens can protect homes, meet building codes and enhance design at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, in the 9 Halls Road showroom.

The company in a press release said attendees will learn how rain gardens can transform Connecticut shoreline properties by managing stormwater, improving soil health, and helping combat climate change—while aligning with building codes and luxury design standards.

A panel of guests will include Linda Turner, master gardener at the Florence Griswold Museum and representatives from Matteson Landscape Architecture, Artemis Landscape and Nautilus Architects.

This panel will explore the ecological and aesthetic value of sustainable gardens, and how architects, designers, and builders can integrate them into new and renovated homes.

Space is limited for this free event. To register, contact Barbara Arelt at 860-510-2251 or barbaraarelt@gmail.com.
