I’ve noticed my cactus has gotten kind of soft so I’ve been looking up how to care for it and it seems I have just about everything right I’ve moved it in a more indirect light but it’s getting worse. My ac has been terrible trying to keep up with the heat and my house is humid could that be a factor?

Hi, what follows are educated guesses by a succulent enthusiast and is purely based on my own experience. So if anyone has more in-depth knowledge please corrct me.
That said, I had the very same plant (Euphorbia Horrida ‘Alba’) and mine perished, together with a few other ones (Euphorbia Pseudoglobasa monstrosa crestata etc.). It changed color then went mushy. Saved some of the little ones and trying to root them atm.
My guess to the why: Euphorbias dont seem to like water after repotting. The ones I only watered weeks after potting are doing fine. The bigger ones died most likely of root – and subsequent full body rot because of watering. Their big root systems at the point of receiving them tricked me into believing that they will do fine, so after a week I started with bottom watering once a week and the demise unfolded.

So my advice: Dig it out, check for mushy, soft parts (mine fell apart at gentle poke and revealed its slimy interior). If you find any they cannot be saved but you might be able to just amputate them, let it dry and repot it.
Also you can detach its offsets and let them dry for a while before potting them. If the rot infected them already they will be soft too or completely dried out after a short while. You can dispose those and keep the healthy ones to start the next generation.

Hope that helps you, have a nice day!
