hey garden gang This is Tasha Jay My mom called and told me today that she wanted a bunch of collard greens So today I’ll be harvesting collard greens So I’ll be doing these a little bit different I’ll be cutting these off at the base opposed to cutting leaves cuz eventually I would like to clear out this bed Now it took me a little minute to cut these because the root was extremely thick But however I finally got it cut and as you can see they’re nice full and healthy looking and that’s all that really matters I’m just so happy and ecstatic about growing and harvesting my very first collard greens It’s nothing like growing your own food It’s an amazing feeling Now I prefer to use smoked turkey when cooking collard greens However my mom is old school and she like what she like I hope y’all enjoy Please like follow and subscribe Thank you
