I hate this too, “enhanced” my ass! However I would not cut off the colored leaves if I were you. Just let the new growth come in and push it out. The tillandsia i have with the artificial coloration do just fine. It’s not spray paint, it’s something else that doesn’t seem to affect the plants ability to grow ..
