This guy has not been having a great time and I’m just not sure what to do. The leaves are soft and squishy. If I get it more sun, it burns. If I water it, it’s gets squishy, if it leave it dry, it gets squishy. I don’t know. Help

It doesnt have much of a root system, just plant it in a small pot with proper soil mix and water when the soil is completely dry. It will be squishy until it grows out enough roots to absorb enough water to plump up.

What Flounder said. Keep in bright but mostly indirect sun, water at a decent interval (every couple weeks depending on conditions) and wait. It’ll come around eventually! I’ve had a few throw fits and lose roots after potting/shipping stress and they usually took about a month to perk up, but one took maybe 3 months. You just have to be patient. As long as there’s no obvious rot, it’ll get there.

As for soil, I like a mix of a small amount of potting soil with pon, small perlite, vermiculite, and sand. That is a good soil that can keep it hydrated but not too wet. I’d suggest watering weekly if it is regularly exposed to intense light.
