Newby Hall and Gardens in Ripon, North Yorkshire, has unveiled a new sculpture trail.

The Newby25 trail, set in the award-winning gardens, which received a gold at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show, features more than 50 sculptures from 27 artists, both national and international.

Orlando Compton, part of the family who owns Newby Hall, curated the exhibition.

For the first time, visitors can follow the trail through the gardens, the hall’s ancient woodland, and the orchard.

The artworks, showcasing a variety of styles and mediums, include pieces by Hamish Mackie, a renowned wildlife sculptor, and a life-sized horse made from recycled horseshoes by Tom Hill.

Materials used in the sculptures range from finely worked bronze to repurposed steel, glass, stone, and resin.

Entry tickets to Newby Hall and Gardens include access to the sculpture exhibition, which will be open to the public until September 28.

For those interested in viewing the exhibition, tickets can be booked via bookings.newbyhall.com/book.

Tickets for the house and garden, as well as garden-only tickets, are available.

According to a spokesperson for Newby Hall, the Newby25 exhibition provides an ‘inspiring journey through diverse artistic styles and mediums’.
