what’s going on it’s Bobby K Oh What a Beautiful Day I have something fantastic to show you behind me I cannot wait to show this Landscaping project we are going to dig into the challenges we’re going to go over a lot of different Landscaping tips and tricks to make your front yard look fantastic and stay to the end of the video because I have something really cool to give away that I know you’re going to love let’s go all right I’m going to sit down right here and let’s talk for a minute if this is your first time here welcome by the way and if you are back thank you we’re at all-time high subscribers I couldn’t do it without you guys this community is growing like crazy thank you thank you thank you the only thing I ever ask out of these videos smash the like button let the algorithm know that you’re digging this and that I know that you guys are digging this now let’s get into it this is a front yard that was just simply grass it was outdated they’ve done a bunch of renovations to the home as many people do and and we want to make the outside reflect the inside so want to go with something that is low maintenance super easy to take care of looks good all seasons and basically just pops so let’s get into those challenges and those tips to make sure that you can take this with you if you are looking to update any part of your Landscaping all right here we go the first thing is in regard to challenges as you see I’m you probably don’t see I’m kind of walking down right so let me flip this guy around okay so we put in a brand new walkway but what you’ll notice is this is a little bit of an inine because this yard is sloped a lot of the times when you have a front yard backyard whatever you’re going to have some elevations going on and right here there’s a water meter and then there’s a sewer so there’s all this Plumbing that is underneath here that you can’t really tell so we have a fixed point right here so with the elevation we had to grade this so that it comes down and then it hits the sidewalk nice and clean so that was the first [Music] challenge Second Challenge is I noticed that they already had a nice little hedge going maybe this could be cleaned up a little bit but there are some existing plantings a lot of the times when you are considering a front yard renovation or updating a space or doing some Landscaping there might be some things that you want to keep that don’t look so bad so we actually decided to keep those but then work off of those let’s get into a couple tips we’ve got some existing looks like boxwoods here we put in some soft touch holes here this also could be boxwoods but essentially these are going to mirror each other and like I said these could get cleaned up but we want to create a little bit of symmetry so that’s the first thing the second thing is we wanted to create some nice curvy beds that come out away from the house so we could put a nice ornamental tree and get some height going on and then create these little pockets of Interest what you notice is that every curve is purposeful we’re bringing it out to sh highlight something to show something so over here we have a tree that we’re highlighting and then boom boom boom boom boom boom bam look at that Boulder look at the characteristics of that thing this thing is huge it looks unbelievable from the street and we brought that curve out so we could highlight that Boulder now I want to do a couple more little intricate planting tips and then I want to talk about the hardscaping so another thing you could do see how we got another Boulder out here we have a little bit of an inlay and an inlay actually could be with some decorative gravel we picked these beach pebbles that are a multicolor we put a little bit of an edging in so it keeps the mulch separated from here and now we’ve got this almost like invisible line that goes over to here and then bam hits the other side of the driveway where they’re going to plant something else so now we’re working with both sides of the driveway and bringing the Landscaping together Boulder Boulder cool tree and with the planting we went with something that was super low maintenance soft and easy we got some grasses some Evergreens and we’ve got this kind of cool focal point a red twig Holly and what I love about this I’m filming this on January 3rd so it’s winter time we’re going to get some snow actually this weekend and this thing still looks good so when the snow comes down down you’re going to have the red with the white and the snow on the boulders this thing still looks good and it’s not spring things aren’t blooming colors aren’t out the flowers aren’t in you see there’s lots of pockets of open space inside these beds where you can do future plantings perennials annuals whatever else now I want to talk about the hardscaping we actually put in this little porch here so they can now sit out here congregate with their neighbors but also got this beautiful walkway what I love about this walkway is the transition and the shape the fact that it goes to the front but also swings out to where they Park their cars now look at this look at this little intricate patch that created this really cool shape for this bed and what does this do when they step out their car now they step out onto pavers versus grass I they can comfortably walk out here you want to park an extra car here you still have enough where you can walk over and Bam come on up and it’s a really cool hearts scaping pattern this p is by county and if you notice the color we got a sailor border on there of a beckon and then I believe this is inlighten by County so that Brown goes very well with the color of the architecture of the house so what we’re doing was we’re doing low maintenance plantings we’re giving it some inlays and some cool curves some nice in things to make it pop picked out a beautiful P that the color goes with the house and it’s also very purposeful it’s leading you to the sidewalk you step out the car you can get onto there versus stepping on grass and you’ve got this beautiful front yard Renault versus just grass [Music] finally
