Guys I have this little aglaonema cutting who like you can see Has only two small roots and is actually growing second bud, should I cut second bud or leaves it alone?
Agreed with others to let it be. Wait to see its full intentions first.
I have had plants do this and after the new shoot grows the old one stops growing and sometimes dies off. Stress and damage may have rendered the current leaf as a poor host to continue growing a full plant. Or it may be decided against and stay a small bud for a long time.
