SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – The people of South Bend are preparing for Wednesday’s Arts in Bloom Garden Walk!
There will be an exhibition presented at the South Bend Museum of Art ahead of the walk.
This annual event presented by the Art League offers a self-guided tour of private Granger home gardens.
At the event you’ll be able to check out live art demonstrations put on by local artists.
You’ll also be allowed to explore the gardens at your own pace, taking in all of the natural beauty at your disposal.
“The Garden Walk is a fundraiser for the South Bend Museum of Art,” says Nicole Ringer with the South Bend Museum of Art. “Basically, patrons buy tickets and then they go to the gardens that we’ve selected this year, and they go from garden to garden at their own pace. It’s a self-guided tour. They get a guidebook, and they tour the gardens they see artists working the gardens and the artists are working in all different media from drawing, painting, pastels to even ceramics.”
The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church off of Cleveland Road in South Bend.
Tickets are $25 on the day of. Children 12 and under are free.
