Hi! I made a few post about this plant already but I haven't had time to do anything more that let this plant sit in water in front of the window. For a few weeks, I thought the green growth coming from the main stick were new roots. Today I decided to clean up the plant by removing the dead roots and upon closer inspection, the new growth looks like the tiniest leaves!! Now I'm wondering if I should leave my setup like this (stick out of the water, roots in the water l) or if I should go back to how it was (water covering 2/3 of the stick, up to the red line).

Keep it as it is until you have 2-3 leaves on each growth point & plenty of healthy roots. When you’re ready to transplant, you can separate the plants by chopping between the nodes, or keep them together for a bushier plant.

If a rescue plant is responding well, you shouldn’t change the conditions until it’s stable.
