Hello! My girlfriend got this from their mother at Christmas, has been diligently spraying once every week with plant food solution for air plants and it doesn’t look so hot. It was on the fridge so I moved it to the window with more light. My girlfriend kills a lot of plants accidentally and has been really trying with this one, any advice would be greatly greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but I’m pretty sure it’s dead 🙁
Looks dry as a bone if not totally dead. Spraying isn’t enough. It should be periodically soaked. I don’t spray mine at all.
It’s dead. Finding a balance with bright indirect light, dunking/soaking/spraying, and airflow can be challenging. Browning leaf tips and leaves curling inwards from the sides are signs of dehydration. Overwatering oftentimes isn’t apparent until it’s too late. Many variables can affect how much and how often you should be watering.
Too much fertilizer can also kill any plant; weekly was likely overkill. Once per month during their growth cycle is usually sufficient.
As with everything else in life, there are exceptions to the rule.
100% air 0% plant
Needs a funeral
Misting is really not enough and should not be done with the plant still in that kind of hanger as it will trap water at the base and rot from there.
If she is to try again with airplants, tell her to go for soaks instead of misting, since misting is more a supplement than actual watering, and to watch how the leaves curl up to know when it is thirsty. This one is dead dry. A well watered airplant will uncurl and have flatter leaves.
Okay I appreciate all the feedback so far! Besides a Viking funeral any last ditch attempts to save it if it’s not totally totally dead ?
Looks so dry and crispy
If she’s spraying she need to mist it multiple times a week and honestly drenching it. Soaking is better method for people who forget to do so multiple times a week:)
no such thing as air plants should be spritzing this every time you walk by it in that case
he’s dead jim
