ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — An officer with the Palm Beach Gardens Police was killed Saturday morning after crashing his motorcycle into a tree, splitting it in half.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), around 5 a.m., the off-duty officer, Alexi Anthony Breiner, was speeding westbound on State Road 80 just west of Lamstein Lane in Royal Palm Beach when he entered a “high speed wobble.”
The violent wobble lasted for over 1000 feet, when it became unstable and overturned, per deputies.

PBSO says that immediately after overturning, his Suzuki bike collided with the center median curb, and continued over the median curb where Breiner was ejected.
After Breiner was ejected, deputies say his bike continued forward, colliding with a tree and splitting in half.
First responders pronounced Breiner dead at the scene as a result of his injuries.
