I noticed it’s become bald at the base, no doubt from lack of direct sunlight since I had it wrapped around itself up til now. I kinda want to give it a trim, plant the air tubes in the soil and see how it goes from there. The leaves near the end are significantly smaller though. Any thoughts or tips?

Sounds like a good plan. I have not had good luck propagating them on soil, only water, but for most other people it seems the opposite anyhow plus it looks like you have some good tubers. Trimming really helped mine after the top went bald. Also I usually cut those flowers off to redirect energy for more growth if you’d like to try. Sounds like you know what you are doing already though. Good luck!
