Greatest deal of my life, they actually had it listed for $8 but I didn't have any ones 😅 Any tips for keeping it alive would be helpful, I've killed snake plants before 😬

How lucky!!! It was a bargain!

No, I can’t believe they died on you! They seem super resilient to me.

  2. Oh wow, congratulations! Give it a nice window to get some light and avoid watering it too often. Wait for the pot to be almost completey dry before you water. You are much more likely to kill a snake plant by giving it too much water than by giving it too little.

Pretend it doesn’t exist until you notice it looking sad

I’m glad this doesn’t end up on my FB marketplace I’d be making a million baby plants right now 🤣

I have also killed them. I’ve had this small one that’s been at death’s door for a few years now. It’s perking up a little now that I moved it to a sunnier spot though

If you’ve killed snake plants, you either overwatered them or you’re a magnet for asteroid impacts.

and given that, last I checked, Earth is still politely spinning in its usual mildly-elliptical, heliocentric routine about 1 AU away from the sun, and i havent noticed any signs of nuclear winter due to us being obliterated by a giant, vengeful space potato trying to powerslam Mother Earth so hard that her belly button starts to wiggle…

Fuck, what was I talking about?

Oh yeah, you over watered the other ones.

They are very versatile plants and you can grow them in a variety of light conditions. What they like is direct sunlight, regardless how hot it is. In the evening, after a long sunny day, they like to be sprayed with water. You can use cacti food from time to time. Mine has also made flowers last year. Had no idea they can flower, lol.

I water mine when the soil is dried.

LE: congrats on your purchase! It is a lovely plant ❤❤❤

I water my snake plants once every 3-6 weeks depending on when I remember, and mine are thriving! Seriously, give it a good window that gets lots of light, and water it whenever you remember to. Otherwise… DONT TOUCH IT!!! They love to be snug in their pots, so you won’t need to repot it for quite a while despite how chock full that one is. Let it acclimate to your house for a week or two, then give the pot a good and thorough drowning ( just avoid the crowns of the plants if you can). I’m so insanely jealous of your new beauty🥺
