Zone 8, Portland Oregon. First year of my pollinator patch. I moved a struggling rhododendron from a different area of the yard. It’s a mix of natives, edibles and pollinators. Natives include: salmon berry, rhododendron, scurf pea, blue eyed grass. Pollinators; variety of cone flowers, Shasta daisy, Santa Barbara daisy, English & French lavender. I planted currants. The tree is a magnolia.

Also included some pics from other area of the yard. I’m incorporating more edible plants. So far have added the 2 types of currants and 2 artichokes.

My “lawn” is a mix of clovers, grasses, creeping thyme & whatever weeds pop up that aren’t considered invasive. The soil was/is really bad so the “lawn” is still quite a WIP but this is probably its healthiest year. I actually dug out the pollinator patch because of how sad the “lawn” was; full of hawkbit and weeds.
