Webb’s of Bearwood, one of Britain’s oldest garden centres located in Smethwick, West Midlands, is closing after 104 years of family ownership spanning five generations.
Pauline and Steve Webb are retiring, with their children pursuing different careers, leading to the shop’s closure on June 28.
Despite changing gardening trends and rising costs, the centre remained a beloved community fixture known for quality plants and expert advice.

yes very very very sad about Steve and Pauline going been coming here well over 10 years now buying all my bird food all my plants and it is it is like a breeze but it’s a welld deserved rest for them good retirement mostly chicken pellets that’s fine Yeah if it’s for tops and baskets is it tops and baskets yes yes no
