My MIL hated the ti plant and I thought it was kinda neat, so she gladly help me load it into the car.

I knew I needed to repot to separate it from the peace lily. When I was looking into it further and discover a little maranta and a heartleaf philodendron hiding in there.

So today I pulled it all out and was amazed by how root bound it was. It felt like surgery trying to untangle that mess. After getting it into it's own pot I didn't realize how long the stems were.

Do I chop them down; how far down can I go? Do I leave them? How to I get the leave to be fuller at the top? Are the stems supposed to curve around like that and will it start to grow towards the light like a fiddle fig does? Can I shape it like a bonsai?

Any other info on care for this or any of the other plants would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for saving a plant or rather 4 !

IMHO, the plant has had 2 shocks already (both good, but still) – change of environment/place and change of pot , so you should wait before chopping off the stem

Peace Lilly looks good, just needs more care than your MIL was giving her. Low on water, moderate humidity and bright indirect light.

The maranta is a gorgeous plant but finicky with humidity and water needs. It needs high humidity and moist soil. Overwater and you shall kill it. A bathroom would be a good place to set it or a if keeping it anywhere else would require a pebble tray

Heartleaf Philodendron is the easiest of the lot you have got. They prefer to dry out slightly between waterings and again love moderate to high humidity

    Good luck šŸ‘

Oh I wish you luck with the ti leaf plant. I’m in Hawaii and have only seen it growing outdoors. I wouldn’t mind one for my living room now
