Gardens across Cornwall are set to open for the National Garden Scheme.

Here is a selection of those opening on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29.

Lostwithiel Gardens

Seven gardens in Lostwithiel will be open on Saturday, June 28, from 11am to 4.30pm.

Visitors can park in the town centre or take a train to Lostwithiel station.

A map can be collected from Llawnroc, PL22 0JP, and the combined entrance fee is £7.

Homemade teas will be served at three of the gardens.

Trelan

Trelan in Wharf Road, Lelant, TR26 3DU, will be open on Saturday afternoon.

This is the last chance this year to see the towering echiums in this tropical-themed garden.

The Old Vicarage

The Old Vicarage in Talland Bay, PL13 2JA, will be open on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

This vibrant four-acre garden is situated next to Talland Church and boasts stunning coastal views.

Roseland House

Roseland House in Chacewater will also be open on both afternoons.

This one-acre garden is filled with colour and scent, with a focus on roses and clematis.

Firste Parke

Firste Parke in Kelly Bray, Callington, PL17 8HD, will open at 11am on Sunday.

This garden is a must-visit for its stunning display of roses and other perfumed plants.

Lametton Mill

Lametton Mill in St Keyne, Liskeard, PL14 4SH, will also open at 11am on Sunday.

This newly created garden, planted in 2023, features a variety of young specimen trees, herbaceous borders, peonies, roses, and a pond.

Sliggon Field

Sliggon Field in Trebetherick, Wadebridge, PL27 6SB, will open on Sunday and Monday.

This garden has several distinct areas set out on different levels, all connected by a network of gravel pathways.

Boscrowan

Boscrowan in Heamoor, Penzance, TR20 8UJ, will open from 2pm to 6pm on Sunday.

This garden, transformed from a derelict market garden, is a riot of colour with roses and perennials.

Gwythria

Gwythria in Sancreed, Penzance, TR20 8QS, will open from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday.

This beautiful three-acre artistic garden features meadows, wildlife ponds, ornamental borders, and a productive vegetable garden.

Visitors are encouraged to pre-book online in advance.

The money raised from entrance charges and refreshments will go to health and nursing charities such as Marie Curie, Macmillan Cancer Care, and Parkinson’s UK.

The National Garden Scheme gives visitors unique access to over 3,300 private gardens in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands and raises amounts of money for nursing and health charities through admissions, teas and cake.
