Is this a fittonia? I have one red and one green one but I’m obsessed with the pink!

My daughter had two and they looked exactly like that they didn’t recover I’ve had trouble with those plant’s too I can’t get them to stay alive ☹️

  3. debbybaker2664

I call them pink polka dot plant’s Lol

agreed! mine prefers the term “communicative” though.

i had a plant sitter kill one on me once, and to this day i wonder if she was just playing dead to be dramatic and my plant-sitter believed her!

My peace lily used to do this when she was new here. Now it just gets brown-tipped leaves all the time and I’m not fretting.

I really like those plant’s but they always die on me that looks awesome 👏🏻

My Purple Passion is like this. Looks dead and then after some water it’s like it was fine all along

Hypoestes phyllostachya. They love to be dramatic @

I got sick of mine and planted them in the garden right before a 100°F heatwave. They survived for two weeks and then died. Fuck you you etiolating bastards

They like moist soil. I had one and it got huge. Just make sure you keep it trimmed enough to not flower. Once it flowers it can die

I killed one of these polka dot plants. It went dramatic on me a few times when it was time to water, and I quickly found that when they wilt, if you do not water promptly, they will indeed call your bluff and peace out 😂

Ohhh she needs pampering! Looks she is thirty

  13. ohnoihavenocoffee

me before my boyfriend gives me attention vs after

    equally as dramatic

Yeah I’ve regrettably unalienable a couple of polka dot plants because I didn’t realize how much humidity they liked. I’ve read some where to keep their plant on top of a be of pebbles with h20 to provide humidity

wait WHERE did you get the pot. i’m obsessed

I loooove these. I’ve had 2 of them & every single time I killed them 💔

  17. Ours will climb her trellis then drop dead and be one little leaf 1cm over the dirt then do it again.

Every few days I wake up to mine looking like pic 1. A little water and she perks back up. So dramatic.

    Right??? 🙌

Mine are the same way! I call mine Callas & Caruso after the opera singers bc they’re so dramatic

  20. I literally just gave mine the eye & she’s good…for today.

I got mine from a grocery store, potted a green and a red together in a hanging basket inside an east facing window and shes my most thriving new plant so far this year. She’s loving the morning light.
