EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — The Southwestern Indiana Master Gardener Association (SWIMGA) hosted its 12th biennial Garden Walk, “A Walk with Nature,” which concludes today, June 22, 2025, at 4 p.m. CT.
This event has taken attendees through 14 private and public gardens in Evansville and Newburgh, showcasing a variety of garden styles and sizes.
More than 1,000 people were expected to attend the Garden Walk, which offered a chance to explore the creativity and expertise of local gardeners.
Attendees had the opportunity to speak directly with Master Gardeners and gather new ideas for their own landscapes.
The Garden Walk is a cherished tradition in the region, promoting gardening education, environmental stewardship, and community connection.
Proceeds from the event support SWIMGA’s educational and beautification efforts throughout Southwestern Indiana.
The gardens are located at various addresses, starting at 3729 East Lloyd Expressway in Evansville. Additional locations include 8215 Pollack Avenue in Evansville and 100 Plum Street in Newburgh, among others.
The event provided vibrant visuals of gardens in full bloom and offered opportunities to interview Master Gardeners and attendees.
SWIMGA, a nonprofit organization in partnership with Purdue Extension, is dedicated to community education and environmental stewardship through gardening.
