by Grace Rabano, Clermont Garden Club

The Clermont Garden Club hosted its 7th Annual Spring Garden Festival this month. Over 40 vendors and local nurseries sold a variety of different products from herbs, bamboo, plumeria, orchids and tropical plants, handmade pottery planters, glass art, and more. The club offered a table where kids can do a small free “make-and-take” project… which many kids gifted right to mom! A Lake County Master Gardener was present for free consultation. Drawings for raffle baskets from club members and vendors were also available. The crowds stayed steady throughout the time of the event, and this was the largest attended Spring Festival to date!  The club thanks the following who participated in the festival:

The  Spring Garden Festival is one of the Club’s yearly fundraisers. Funds raised are used for the Club’s goals of educating its members and the community in their relationship to horticulture, conservation, environment, and the art of floral design.

Clermont Garden Club provides opportunities for members of the community to participate in a variety of floral design classes, horticulture knowledge, field trips and many other gardening, environmental and conservation events. The club is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization.  We encourage you to visit and attend our meetings. The CGC facility is available to rent for meetings, parties, weddings, etc. (see www.ClermontGardenClub.org).
