Hi there, I recently moved my gorgeous Euphorbia erythraea outside to get some better sun for summer. When moving her, I noticed one of the four sides of the base was mushy. I left town for three days and came back to 3 of the 4 sides looking terrible; two are super mushy, and the other is hard.
Is there any hope?

The situation is severe, the fact that it’s mushy and brown means that the plant is rotting. Meaning that the soil was too moist or that it was watered too many times. The only way to save what’s left is to chop the trunk and repot it in a more draining and dry soil. Be aware: euphorbia releases a white and sticky liquid when it’s chopped that it’s -toxic- and -extremely irritating- for your skin. Use gloves and if the liquid goes in you eyes there is a chance that you become blind so be careful. Stop chopping when you don’t see brown spots anymore inside the trunk and then cover the injure with a cloth to avoid infection. Leave the plant in a shady place for 2-3 days then repot. Good luck with your plant 😭
