I have mint by my house surrounded by thick pavers stuck a few inches into the ground, and it regularly sends runners underneath them. It never gives up!

My mint patch is surrounded by solid concrete path on all sides and hasn’t crept out in 10 years. However, my creeping time has slowly crept into the mint patch. Weird.

That’s not good enough it can escape out of the bottom or drape down the side and grow into grass. MINT MUST BE ON CONCRETE IN A POT. Never put mint near or on the ground. Only plant native mint to your ecoregion in the ground.
