I demonstrate how I plant up an herb container garden.
let’s plant up an herb container this right here is I believe called an earth box it’s selfwatering as you can see by this right here and I use it every year for my herb garden it works out really well see there’s some chives back there first thing I’m going to do is freshen up the soil with this potting mix right here it’s organic pretty easy to do what I’ll do is remove some of the existing soil and then just mix this in to give it some nice fresh soil it kind of looks low enough as to where I could probably just mix the soil in there all right here we go the soil in there how much fresher and nicer that looks all that beautiful perlite in there let me finish this up and then I’ll mix it in all right here I go and the ants aren’t going to be too happy i can see them crawling all the all around in here so they’re not going to be happy but hey got to do what you got to do I guess just mixing it up like this i’ll show you what it looks like when I’m done all right there it is it looks pretty good to me nice and loose and mixed up here’s some of the herbs I’m going to plant not this one this is some type of climbing spinach i have some basil in here this right here is a Mexican um teragon and I got some parsley back here i may put some cilantro seeds in here if I have room i did have some here but the rabbit got in and ate it i also have this curry plant right here i have some thyme right here and some French teragon right here here’s the time and you can see it’s really root i’m break this up all right so just dig out the hole deep enough just put it in the hole and then back fill it’s really easy right i’m going to get these other ones in then I’ll show you what it looks like all right there it is all planted up and I’m going to take some of this organic fertilizer and I’ll just lift up the plastic here whatever it is and I’ll sprinkle it here and just mix it into the soil around all of these plants and then after that I will water it in and I’m going to tape this down so it doesn’t flop up all right that’s it for now i’ll give you updates as this um herb garden grows you like gardening and plant content do click that subscribe button
