    I’m not getting emotional it’s just really pollen-y in here sniff 🥲

    seeing the goldfinches eat old seedheads in like APRIL really drove home how important leaving old flowers up is. Nothing else was ready for them yet.

  6. Had a goldfinch duo visit last year’s Eryngium yuccifolium (Rattlesnake Master) heads in my yard this week. My Agastache hasn’t started blooming yet, but I’ve got three types in my yard now. The bees and butterflies love it, plus the goldfinches are always on the seed heads!
