What is it and what should I do.

My nephew gave me a few cutting when I was visiting. Don’t know what they are. I wasn’t too invested at the time so stuck them all in the same pot.

Sw window but in woods so supplement with sansi grow lights

In a succulent mix

Only water when bone dry on moisture meter

Fertilizer 2-3 times a month with a succulent specific fertilizer. It says squirt onto dirt but I dilute in water

Thank you for posting to r/plantclinic!

It looks like you may be asking about a cactus or succulent. In addition to any advice you receive here, please consider visiting r/cactus r/succulents for more specialized care advice.

A common problem with cacti and succulents is etiolation. This is when a succulent stretches or becomes leggy. Reply with “!etiolation” for advice.

That is a mother of millions plant. They are horrifically invasive and illegal to own in many places because of this. They spread and kill everything. Absolutely do NOT keep this plant outside!!!! The pups on the ends of the leaves drop off and spread. Please convey this to your nephew as well. They are incredibly dangerous and can wipe out ecosystems.

It’s a mother of thousands plant. I don’t think it wants to be as dry as the succulent. I’d repot it separately and keep doing what you’re doing

  4. The one with the little plants growing off the leaves is either a mother of thousands or mother of millions. The little ones fall off and grow new plants.

This is our weekly mother of millions on this sub

That plant is the type you put in a zip-lok bag, add a shot of water, and place on something black in the sun for a day or so.

I have a bunch in a milk crate with some dirt outside. summer is pretty harsh to everything here. it barely makes it through the summers. It wishes to invade surrounding areas but dies in the process.

I like it but I live in NY and it can’t spread here 🙂

I have one, in a pot, growing outside. It’s made many plantlets but none have survived

You have powdery mildew on your plants. Thats the white stuff.

  11. I had one, left it without care and it spread all over my artificial grass 💀 she’s no longer with us

It’s infected with powdery mildew, a fungal disease. Do not bring that into your home if you have other plants. Treat it with a fungicide first, if you choose to keep it.

    These comments make me laugh.
We call it a “pregnant” plant.
It’s just a succulent that has babies on its leaves. If you don’t want offspring, simply pluck and toss them

In 2003 in Kissimmee we rented a house and this plant was in the backyard in a makeshift “garden” corner. I was fascinated with it. I was also in middle school, so.

Anyways, I would pluck off the beady ends and throw them in the grass or in the makeshift dirt. For YEARS, until recently, i found out the name of this plant and how horrible it is! I threw those babies everywhere without even knowing.
