Yall have seen these while checking out right? They mostly look happy and long. More lonely if anything lol and it seems to be thriving. There is a SOP that is really long & in the same pot. Are these worth repotting or just keep it as is?
I have repotted ones before and they went bye bye so fast 😭 I guess what I’m saying is these are always up front and it seems like no one buys them. But they’re always thriving. Wonder if they do any type of special plant food or if we just bring them home to their final resting place 🥺

I got my string of rubies from Home Depot and it was so root bound that watering it was difficult. I ended up chopping it in half. I kept one half and propagated a handful of strings from the other half before tossing the rest away. Both plants are doing much better but I think it’s like you said: whatever they’ve done to the plants might cause its demise once purchased. I’ve never had issues with smaller plants from Home Depot though.
I wish my HD had these by checkout. They randomly get in six at a time and they immediately soak them and then they’re all sold within a couple of days. I bought an SOP there recently and immediately took it out of the pot and had to leave it out to dry for a few days before I could pot it in a better mix. Still looking good but we’ll see.
I’d really like a variegated SOH. Just putting that out there in the universe because I have a medical appt in a different town tomorrow and plan stopping at their HD and Lowe’s on way back.
