Yes when this happened to my Monstera I repotted it inside a deeper pot so that the roots are covered by the soil.

Yeah it’s an aerial root. Totally normal. You can cut it or just guide it into the soil as it grows. (I’ve never cut mine.) You’ll get many more as the plant grows bigger.

Yes. Monsteras make aerial roots, that’s fine. But now might be a good time to consider a moss poll set-up, your monstera is young still, it’s now or never !

Yup, and it’s happy to be here!

I’ve commented this before but yeah give em something to climb on they yearn for the aerial support
While you do have sticks to provide upright support typically a moss pole or something bigger, that the roots can latch onto/into more is better
Interesting_Note_937
Don’t tie up your monstera like that. They need freedom to move the leaves with the sun! Remove the support
Only the very bottom of the plant-the stem- should be tied to the support. All the petioles should be free

Congratulations, it’s a boy!

Aerial root. I have them everywhere lol

You can leave it be, trim them, or guide them into the soil. It all depends on how you want your plant to look.
I personally let them grow long before deciding that I wanted them to go back into the soil, as a result my monstera is a noodley boy near the bottom 😆
It’s called an air root. Totally normal and healthy.

you really should remove those stakes and ties, you’re preventing the leaves from moving properly. the stems should never be tied! only the actual stem between the leaves

Mine is about a foot 😉
Yes, it’s an air root and totally normal. It’ll seek the soil and provide extra support for the plant as it grows taller and heavier with more leaves.
