[Music] hi everyone welcome to Illinois and garden zone 5 we have a road trip today we’re going on meet my daughter we are driving a couple hours from our area to Burlington Iowa now um we have not been to this Market before so we’re in for a treat just like you this is called the Vintage Market and it’s downtown so they advertise that it has over 120 vendors at this market outoors so we are going to go check it out see what it’s like and take you along with us okay we made it guys we are in Burlington Iowa now I’m going to take you over by the Mississippi River before we just to see some scenery here before we start heading downtown now we are in the historic district so we parked a few blocks away because it’s already packed so we’re excited we can’t wait to see what they have there um and it did take us about not even two hours it was a nice drive pretty scenic uh throughout the countryside to get here and now let’s look at some more scenery of as we’re walking downtown okay look at this gorgeous church building I’m G to pan up and I’m I like doors Devon and I both like doors and so this is a very cool door there it’s just doors today we just love doors so that’s a cool door and then we like their fencing with their arbores along here too that’s really cool oh and then they’ve got the little hidden staircase in the stone wall that goes up into their yard very cute so we’ll head this way first this y that’s cute little doll little doll chair that’s cute oh I like this too how repurposing that with the plant that’s so cute okay Devon thought that this would look cute with a little succulent sitting on there he’s adding she’s adding the little succulent that’s a little big it might tip over Tada hey look at this pretty cabinet that someone’s hand painted 2 50 are best to offer and they’ve painted on designs that’s really pretty fall stuff I have one of those how much is it1 $10 that’s cute too she thinks I need that for my fence but I have something very similar to that already I like the watering can the old metal watering can how much is that $12 that’s cute oh yeah two bucks for the asparagus frame pretty frame for $7 like that oh it’s really super heavy look at that really nice I want a cute little watering picture I like that I know that I have that that would be nice to water stuff and it would be it’s kind of cute too for uh [Music] flowers little brackets for shutters found a pretty yeah Devon likes those Tiffany type style lamps that’s really cute yeah it looks like it is very pretty look at that table I know look you guys over there let’s go check out that little table deon’s making a be line over there for me the only problem is is I can leave it out I’d be concerned that this would bust yeah so it’s more of a sun room type table and chairs it’s super cute you said it was 160 and that’s a nice color it could be spray painted a different color I like that color but it’s not going to work for what I need out in the uh fresh cut flower garden and then he’s got some old fences oh look at this this is pretty oh and they take they’ve taken an old chair and turned it into a that’s cute and then this look at this it’s a pitchfork they took did the garden fork and put a planter on it cute yeah with the marold in it some little wicker baskets oh I like that too that’s pretty the white wicker oh I like that Devon’s pointing out all these things for me I like that that is definitely my style what is your style very cute creeping wire Vine Sun depart CH oh and this is really cute look at this oh $25 guys this is super cute what do I have on it it’s like a base I have on it 25 can be 20 it’s actually the top of an Old Post that’s what I thought but it’s it’s cute I could see using it as a uh maybe like a pedestal in the garden for something okay so she has 25 on it but she told me she would take 20 I think I’m going to get it for the garden I like it oh and this is cute too this would be really pretty with lots of pink and white geraniums in it and Ivy oh and here’s a little chair that’s cute that they’ve turned into a planter but the little um planter over there that I liked with the Wicker ball in it she said that was 25 with the plant and the other one there is 20 and she’s talking to Devon right now and the poor lady’s got a broken leg and she came anyway to be at the market and have help with her Booth today oh you guys I like this too look at that oh my 250 a vintage planter that is so pretty and this little in table is adorable a lot of old sets of croquet great big huge work table that’s gorgeous oh this is pretty a wall bracket $10 isn’t that cute in the shape of a coffee cup and then to have vines coming out of that or some Ivy that is super cute and then that’s a pretty picture and look at the cute little dresser side table $40 what a nice little size and I love those French provential legs we’ve got a hutch back here with a lot of pretty stuff some gorgeous heavyduty mirrors for $10 different sizes I like that one too that’s a nice size all the little yeah all the little pots oh you guys they got so much cute stuff here aint Market oh the Vintage Market is only once a year huh see that’s a cute little table and chairs and this little thing with all the clay pots in it is cute and then we’ve got the pretty bird bird cage that makes a really good clo too if you take the bottom off of it and look at this pretty water can that they’ve put transfers on oh and here we got the step stool that somebody has created that would be really pretty with flowers all the way down it on each little step that would be cute there’s just so much to look at this oh that’s pretty I like it yeah and I have these blooms this is the little the little quickfire shrub Bloom it’s planted in there this chair this chair is cute I really like this $65 guys I like that with the down below so they even did a photo booth over here guys it’s called they even have a little sign that says photo booth grab a prop strike a pose share with us so it must be the store over there has a photo booth that’s pretty vintage we’ve got some nice furniture oh look at the hot pink desk back there very nice I like the black chairs oh you like the black and gold chairs PR so I was talking to one of the shop owners and this started 9 years ago and it was just two blocks and now it goes about a mile out of all the different shop owners and it’s one year and they always manage to have good weather so if you can make it out here it’s very cool highly recommend Prett she’s done all different types of colors and styles oh and even a like a um snake plant out of steain glass tables that she’s redone cute little potting shed tables oh she found me rabbits oh my gosh you guys look at these the feet the little feet pot put it I’ve got little little tiny ones but those are cute and here we’ve got a gazing ball stand for $10 made out of it feels like resin cute guys very heavy $8 and then he has metal stuff all this stuff that he’s made out of metal okay look at this guys the Old Stone Mill antique mall so the antique mall is also open today let’s go check out what they have for their Furniture setting outside that’s cute the little flowers the Little Flower set yeah oh but the table has really cool legs but it’s just a wood piece of plywood on top so it would work to cover it up yeah but I that’s why I said look at the cool legs I like the legs on it but it’s just a piece of plywood so it wouldn’t hold up very well yeah oh they got dog heads on them the chair wow I like these though oh my gosh yeah look at those C yes and I like this back here too of course none of this is for sale this is their entry okay so we’re coming into the Antique Mall look at the gorgeous chandeliers there’s lots of them look at that guys that’s what I need for the garden house H think that’s the size of your garden house look at the crystals on this oh my look at that that’s just absolutely gorgeous absolutely gorgeous it’s not for sale unfortunately oh it’s not for sale okay I would like to see it lit up though I oh that would be beautiful and this down here it’s $45 that is kind of cool it’s made out of concrete okay so this is a pretty oil painting $50 with the flowers and the fruit it’s it’s a nice size too made out of wicker very cute very cool mirror in the back [Music] wall lots of quilts and I like this mirror how much is the mirror $40 for the mirror that’s not bad at all okay and then we’ve got a really pretty frame back here some dark wicker [Music] here we got a little kid’s porcelain tea set child’s porcelain tea set $45 with all the little pieces with it that’s cute too [Music] okay this is a cute chair too for $20 guys I really like that and you just said all the floral is 50% off this cute little fold down table for $30 and we’ve got more floral here and then I debated about these screens here yeah these really cute and they have hooks in them to hang them for $20 and I lost Devon she she left me and headed off so she found a real pretty Booth here that also has look at this guys you get to go inside and Shop so they have converted an RV into a little Boutique traveling store so let’s go over here and look oh you like that big planter yeah that is pretty oh and cute little wicker bench there that would make a nice plant stand okay so we’re going to head inside here [Music] [Music] and [Music] okay so we came into this new little coffee shop and bakery and they’ve only been open for a week and it’s twin sisters that opened it up and they offer organic coffee and they have um all kinds of Bakery items but they do a whole big section of glutenfree because they both are glutenfree and they wanted things that people could come in and have that have allergies and so they’ve been in business for a whole week and this is downtown Burlington look at the little seating area here and then we’ve got another cute little couch taste and seek is the name of it so this end here is the ones that are not glutenfree and then all the way down here we have gluten-free stuff and up on top so all kinds of neat items here and it’s so cute inside and it’s a perfect view out to the main street to watch all the vendors for Market day and then they even have a little outdoor place a little cubby hole right there that sets back in the shade that um you can set out in too well guys thanks for hanging out with us today in Burlington Iowa at the Vintage Market it had a lot of great things to see uh that new little
