Reviving grocery store basil


Hi y'all. Super new to gardening and I'm hoping to grow cooking herbs in my apartment.

Is there anything I can do revive my basil? Most of the leaves are yellowing and drooping even with diligent watering/making sure I'm not over watering.

Is it even possible to grow herbs in an apartment? Unfortunately I have no balcony/outdoor space.

    Basil needs a decent amount of light – is it near a window?

    Let it dry out a bit, then give it some fertilizer. Basil is often grown pretty lean as it is, so something with a little nitrogen and some magnesium will help green it up.

    I’d repot it! Grocery store Basil is often actually several Basil plants shoved together and the roots crowd each other out. This could account for the yellowing and such.
