  1. My husband has done the same thing with our blueberries and blackberries, I can walk in the enclosure and pick so easily and all protected from the birds, squirrels and raccoons

  2. indeed june drop is a real thing… the trees will only hold on to fruit it can sustain… imo.

  3. Just like everything in nature you have to pick and choose what you want and don't want. I will never be able to rid this area of creeping Charlie and wild violets but not much I can do about them as they had already taken hold before I moved into my sisters home to care for my Mom. I just mow when it is needed. I failed to tell my brother in law the other day about the mullein that was growing nearby and he mowed it all down, bummer.

  4. The harvest that keeps coming and coming so you have time to preserve in between. Yes you probably could make a coat or at least a sweater from a cat's fur but watch out for the poison ivy it may contain. Have watched a few of the Alabama Gardeners videos but will check out more of them as I assumed they may not be on anymore due to his passing. Thanks for sharing your bounty secrets on growing them. Have a blessed week…

  5. I have to tell you, I commented a few months ago about my moringa tree and that it was probably dead. Well that thing is doing great. I had brought it in for winter and it looked like a 4 foot twig. lol I live in WI so of course it needs to either be inside or an annual, I wasn't losing anything trying.

  6. I was just picking blueberries from my garden today. This is the 2nd year and they are not very big yet. I think I'll get a small bowl full. Maybe enough to make a batch of muffins. LOL! Your cat is just adorable.

  7. This blueberry video took me back 3 years ago when I was there and picked them! Your bushes are loaded!
What a great gardener you are!

  9. Hey! I'm glad you were wrong about the weight! 11+ lbs! How wonderful. I've never had blueberry bushes. Oh, but I love them!

  10. Such abundance! Kaye, next time you go into Lyles for spring water, check out a little spot called Mary Bell’s, right at the corner of 100 & 230. It looks like a little garden center, surrounded by all types of plants, but if you’ll wander inside, you’ll discover a charming little cafe! They make wonderful food, and lovely coffee and other drinks. In addition, they sell honey and honey products., plus a smattering of other yummy things. I picked up a big jar of cranberry orange pecan honey butter for $11.95 that is wonderful! I hope you get to check it out!
