[Music] there’s something extra cozy about today’s video we’re bringing life and beauty to the front porch hi everyone welcome back to my channel i’m so glad you’re here today we’re diving into a space I’ve been patiently waiting to work on which is our front porch this is our first time having a large covered porch and I have to say it feels like a special milestone for us there’s something magical about creating a welcome moment right at your doorstep and I couldn’t wait to add my personal touch [Music] one of my dream garden visions has always been to have a lush hedge of hydrangeas lining the walkway a romantic full bloom of color and texture while we’re not there yet I’ve taken the first step and I’ve added two hydrangeas to our existing landscaping unfortunately those dreamy blooms didn’t quite cooperate they started wilting within a day of me planting them but we’ll circle back to that in a bit for the porch refresh I pulled out a set of three planters that I’ve had for over a year now these are available on Wayfair they’re durable timeless and beautifully textured in the largest planter I planted a limelight hydrangeanger a favorite of mine for its beautiful blooms and sunhe hearty nature in the medium and small planters I chose a mix of annuals the standout a rich purple hydrangeanger which was Leila’s special request my daughter this one is one year guaranteed so we’ll see if it returns next season but for now it adds such a playful and personal pop of color i also brought out a few smaller planters that I’ve collected over the years and in those I tucked in a classic Boston fern and a fragrant rosemary plant love the rosemary specifically for my hair and when it comes to porch styling I like to get all the planting done first it makes clean up easier and lets the plants settle while I prep everything else just a quick once over with a blower and we are ready for staging [Music] [Music] now let’s get back to those hydrangeas so within a few days the pink blooms completely wilted i underestimated the sun exposure on the side of the house it turns out this area gets far more direct sunlight than I realized so I made the switch i replaced them with limelight hydrangeas which are much more sun tolerant and conveniently these are my favorite variety anyways hopefully I can revive the pink ones in a shadier spot somewhere else in the yard [Music] now comes my favorite part bringing all the little elements I’ve been collecting over the past few weeks together to create a space that feels livedin intentional and welcoming i started with the foundation a checkered outdoor rug from Wayfair i layered a 3×5 rug beneath a natural fiber welcome mat to add depth and warmth i love a layered look it feels curated without trying too hard the checkered pattern is also subtle and versatile and perfect for every season [Music] [Music] one detail I’ve always envisioned is having boxwood trees on either side of our front door it’s such a classic look and I finally found the perfect spiral-shaped ones from Wayfair they add that tailored sculptural touch that I’ve been craving all items from Wayfair in today’s video I proudly purchased myself but this portion of today’s video is sponsored by Wayfair i’m so excited to share that Wayfair’s big outdoor summer sale is officially live from now until June 23rd you can save up to 50% off on everything you need to elevate your outdoor spaces plus enjoy fast convenient shipping you can have the perfect items to upgrade your outdoor space in no time i have all items I featured in today’s video linked for you in the tagged products tab down below back to my stunning boxwood trees to make the planters more weather ready especially since we live in a tornado area i added pea gravel at the base for extra weight and then filled the remainder with packing paper and topped off with more gravel it helps the tree stay in place and upright with the strong winds it gives the planter a finished look as well [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] another [Music] long- aaited purchase was this outdoor rug which I picked up during a Memorial Day sale along with this beautiful lowprofile conversation set both are from Wayfair the soft wood tone adds warmth and the low profofile is just right for my kids to climb up and get cozy in we live at the entrance of our neighborhood and my kids are always on neighborhood watch so they are absolutely loving this conversation set one small challenge I ran into the cushions didn’t come with ties so I secured them using outdoor velcro strips it’s an easy fix and it works perfectly specifically with our stormy weather here in Arkansas [Music] inside our home I’ve been slowly adding touches of blue over the past few months and I wanted to continue that palette outdoors as well just a little bit of blue nothing too crazy and a floral lumbar pillow brought in a bit of color and softness it also compliments the planter so nicely [Music] [Music] come on [Music] come on [Music] it’s the final details that bring a space to life but more than that they create memories every time we sit out here my kids ask for orange flavored water now that I have done this while I was staging it’s a small simple thing but to me it means everything that they are paying attention and soaking up all the little memories just like I do don’t forget to check out Wayfair’s big outdoor summer sale shop my favorite pieces from today’s video down below and as always you can shop my entire home on my LTK page thank you so much for watching today’s video i hope you guys enjoyed spending time with me as much as I enjoyed filming this for you and I will see you in my next video [Music]

  1. Love the front porch, very welcoming ❤️. I also love hydrangeas and have the same problem with too much sun in the afternoon. I like the idea of potting them so you can move them around.

  2. Jenna your style is so sweet, you and Hannah are my only favorites. Everyone else tries to hard to copy and their esthetic doesnt shine through.❤

  3. Everything looks lovely. I would strongly recommend planting 2 to 3 speciman trees asap. Nothing softens a home's exterior like trees.

  4. Wow beautiful ❤❤ but wait you said Rosemary for your hair? Please if you can share what do you do with it?

  5. This looks absolutely beautiful!!! I looove hydrangeas too!! It looks so inviting!!! I love it 🙌🏻🫶🏻🌺🌼

  7. I did the same this year. I fixed up my front porch a couple months ago. New decor and I also bought 3 hydrangeas. I repotted them into bigger pots and everything. They looked so beautiful on my porch for the first month I had them, and then two of them started to wilt a bit, then dried up. The third one was still good and now all 3 are completely dried to a crisp. I watered them, so it wasn’t a lack of water and they were under my covered porch, so they had shade. I moved them to a part of the porch that had the most shade too. I live in Arizona, so I don’t know if its just too hot for them here or not. The funny thing is it hasn’t even gotten that hot yet. It is still going to get a lot hotter this year. I am just so sad about them. They looked so great and now they look so sad.

  8. Could you do a video of decorating shelves. I do NOT like shelves!!!! I have watched so many tutorials and I still can't make shelves look good! BTW, I LOVE all of your videos. You are the best decorator!

  9. Outdoor velcro strips THANK YOU thank you so much that helped me so much I dontknow why i didnt think of that Everything is beautiful dear just beautiful

  10. Your outside space turned out really lovely, cozy and inviting! I didn’t realize that you lived in Arkansas. It looks like you might be in Northwest Arkansas. I’m originally from Little Rock, but it makes me sad that I’ve been gone longer than I lived there. My parents lived in LR until they retired, and then they moved to Mountain Home. I only have some distant family left in the state, so I guess I won’t be going back. Seeing your landscape, that’s what I miss most while living in Arizona—lush green trees and hills.
