i water it every 10 days

Any distance from the window isn’t sufficient for any plant, but this sort of looks like scale..? But also looks like corking.. i can’t quite tell🤔 and now that I think about it, I’m not entirely sure if the leaves cork at all.. I’ve only seen the stems, and the base of the petioles turn woody, but mine are still very much juvenile

It’s just corking, i think! It’s like a callous from the stems constantly adjusting trying to face your light source! I panicked when I saw it also! I thought it was scale! The only thing that has me second guessing is it’s on the leaves?? I’d research just to make sure it’s not scale. .

Scale generally hang out in crevices. You could test it by dipping a q-tip in alcohol and using it to remove a small bit. If it doesn’t come off, it’s corking.

that is scale. corking wouldn’t have the same patterns

These are scale bugs 🙁 horticultural oil/neem oil should kill them but I would also pick them off. You can use a q-tip, cotton swap, or old toothbrush
