I wish I had soft enough soil for root vegetables. (Shitty compacted clay soil.)

Those look really really good! Congratulations and I hope you have the best recipe to use for those where they can really shine!

Congrats!! But I would still say too early, those roots are still hungry and will keep soaking up nutrients ❤️

I legit thought it was green onions sticking out of a lightbulb

I think your onions can probably stay in the soil a bit longer. A tip on when they are ready to harvest is when their green foliage has started to brown. The onion will then have drawn in more nutrients and have great flavour. If you want to store them for some time you should allow them to cure for some days in a cool dry place, then you can trim off the remaining dead foliage and store them.

    Nice 👏👏

Plant some radish seeds next. They will be ready for harvest after just 25 days.

That will keep your momentum rolling so you will want to grow more things 🤝

Wow those are looking superb. Did you start from seed? Which zone? So many questions.
this year is my second attempt at growing onion and they are looking like rickety little things which will never grow. The whimsical super cold may June and rainy weather is just destroying my veggie garden.

  8. Now you have to wait like 50 days for it to dry out before you can eat it haha. This is why I stopped growing onions.

I have a wrist brace buddy! And yes, take that bountiful harvest all throughout the house to show off. Love it and yay you!
