here’s our rain barrel update we’ have expanded from three barrels all the way to seven barrels I got four more on Facebook Marketplace that were much cheaper than the ones that I got off Amazon I also got a pump that’s now hooked up to a sprinkler a lot of people were very worried what I was going to be doing with this water I’m not drinking it I know we’re going to get stuff off the roof I don’t have a first flush system that’s okay with me this little pump that I got has a filter on it so it’s going to try to filter most of that stuff out before it actually gets through the pump itself and now I’m just moving my sprinkler around my yard using all this water that we caught from a storm a week ago to water my grass and yes I appreciate the comments telling me that I absolutely need to move this wood pile away from my house you are correct I do need to do that

Where did you get the black rain 🌧️ barrels?
Did u know that in the state of Colorado they passed legislation making it illegal to collect rainwater? Really chaps my hide….
Just be careful that this is legal
There’s nothing wrong with that very smart. You just save yourself a lot of money.
Imagine that, the government not allowing you to collect rainwater, yet the product of rainwater move to rivers and eventually to dams, and they use that water to sell it to you. During Maria hurricane's aftermath, we used rain water to flush the toilets and for bathing for about 6 months. Some had not water services for about a year! At least in Puerto Rico we do not have that restriction!
Is it for the free
Great idea considering everything is going up in price!!! Love it!!
you can totally drink rain water lol, people thinking tap water is less polluted than rain water which is 100% pure lol
Someone has to comment that collecting rain water is illegal, and some one has to correct that it is legal 😂
Some states such as Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Oregon, Utah, and Washington may require a permit before rainwater catchment can be implemented.
But the majority of states have no restriction at all while some states even encourage rainwater harvesting with incentives.
do you have a full video? what pump did you use, i want to do the same thing but i want to do actual sprinkler heads to water most my lawn instead of moving 1 sprinkler multiple times. thanks
You have moneyyyyy those rain barrels cost like almost $200 each. Very nice though
The insert you used in your downspout looks great! I have 2 rain barrels, and gravity feed hasn't been working. I just learned that they work better when they're at least 1' above the ground.
I either need to lift them or get a pump. Maybe both! What kind did you use & where did you get it???
Thanks!
I’m not allowed to do this in my state, as they own the water that falls from the sky.
Won’t ye grass be water with all the rain ???? 😂
Good idea brother
Is he collecting the rain wat in case of emergency?
😂 you listen to what other people have to think. Who's the one paying your bills?
Did this during covid. … got a small solar panel, DC pump and lawn battery. We water our garden with 5 barrels of rain water . . . Keep up the good work
this would have been GREAT for all the rain we got from Hurricane Beryl! Lol, cant wait to add this to our home!
Your grass was already watered by the storm , no need to water it again
How long and how many times does it water your yard with all barrels being full?
You can drink it. Use a brita or another sort of filter as you are catching it from a runoff from your roof. As a child, I lived with a relative in the country, and he just had a barrel with an open top. The first time drinking, it was like, "Yuck!" But 40 years later, it's a refreshing taste I can't forget.
If you've ever gone camping and drank from a stream, you're pretty brave, and this wouldn't be that much different
Any updates on this?
