Lupe’s Community Garden in Philomath will host a free Kids Planting Day event from 10 a.m.-noon on Wednesday, June 18 that offers local children hands-on learning about gardening and plant care.
The community garden is located behind the Philomath Community Services (360 S. Ninth St.).
Children participating in the program will have the opportunity to learn about plants and proper care techniques while selecting their own vegetable, herb, or flower seeds to plant and take home.
The initiative represents a collaborative effort with funding support provided through donations from both the Food Hero program and the Grow This! Program.
