First two were taken today, the second two were form last year. The progression year over year might be my favorite part. We started with a traditional turf lawn and have gone through many ugly phases to get to this point. We specifically chose this house due to a lack of HOA so we could plant this garden.

I am in NC, Triangle area in Zone 8a. Also wanted to add that it’s 90% straight species from seed and transplants, the other 10% are nativars.

Looks amazing! What process was used to kill the grass?

This looks gorgeous. Congratulations. I’m in Florida and would like to do the same. Edit: do you have any tips? Im sure we aren’t in the same zone but I don’t have a green thumb to save my life lol

Beautiful, love the house and yellow flowers. Are they brown eyed susans?

Awesome meadowscape! Might I recommend a little more variety, as there are so many beautiful plants native to CA. Maybe some native honeysuckle, lupine, or aster to add some pops of color. Enjoy the journey and remember to spread the good word!
