5/1/25 — It was a record-setting weekend at Darby Creek Nursery! During last Friday’s Flower Power Happy Hour, the team sold an all-time high of 5,100 hanging baskets—and the crowds kept coming for the annual Open House. Jeff Turnbull, owner of Darby Creek Nursery, says the plants that flew off the shelves last weekend made up their “first crop,” but don’t worry—there’s plenty more growing in the greenhouses.
Thanks to a warm and early spring, Darby Creek still has lots of vibrant color to offer, with more flowers reaching maturity each day and hitting the sales floor.
Coming up this weekend, Jeff is launching the cleverly named “Make Your Neighbors Disappear Sale”—a perfect opportunity if you’re looking to add some privacy to your yard. Select evergreens and arborvitae will be 25% off this weekend only.
Jeff also gave us a friendly reminder: Mother’s Day is right around the corner, so it’s the perfect time to stop by and pick out a beautiful gift for Mom.
As always, you can find Darby Creek Nursery at 9050 Amity Pike, and catch Jeff’s weekly gardening tips every Saturday and Sunday morning on FOX28 during Good Day Gardening.
