We moved to this house this past winter and I had to add quite a number of plants to the front yard due to either the seller digging a bunch of them up, or a bunch being annuals and dying (and still dug up lol). But here’s hoping they all establish well, thrive, and bloom this summer! Located in zone 5b for reference.
Plants I added to the various sections with empty spots include: blue globe thistle (prime flowering directive of this garden lol), fireball bee balm, back in black sedum, red chrysanthemum, lithodora, black and blue salvia (annual), and zonal geranium (annual). Oh and a solar cardinal decoration in the front just for fun.

Reposting my description of the photos as a comment, not sure if I’m reading the bot correctly about this lol.

I don’t know enough about the specific plants planted but watch them this summer. On hot days those rocks may bake the surrounding plants.
But as an arborist here I can say—watch out for that mulch volcano you’ve made on the tree. The biggest killer of trees is a buried root flare. That’s where the trees oxygen exchange happens so when it’s buried the tree gets stressed and sends out adventurous roots looking for oxygen. On smaller trees those often can turn into girdling roots. Both can cause tree death.
Great job! This is going to look beautiful once they all fill in!! Definitely set a reminder to post an update a year from now!
