5/8/25 — It’s Mother’s Day weekend, and Darby Creek Nursery is in full bloom! Jeff Turnbull, owner of Darby Creek Nursery, recommends picking up a colorful hanging basket or porch pot to make Mom’s day extra special—and they’re both on sale this weekend just in time for the holiday.
The garden center is now fully stocked with a fresh round of flowers and plants, filling the greenhouse and outdoor displays with vibrant color. And now that we’re officially in the clear from frost, Jeff says it’s the perfect time to get planting.
That said, watch your soil conditions—the start of May brought nearly a week of steady rain, so make sure the ground isn’t too soggy before digging in. Once it dries a bit, it’s all systems go for your spring planting plans!
