A Blue-eyed Darner dragonfly with Yellow-eyed grass and Yerba Mansa (California native plants). Please let me know if you think it’s missing anything! Would you have this sign in your garden?

Love the colors and flowers. Personally I think the dragonfly disappears in all the symmetry – I think it would pop more of its body were on a diagonal – the juxtaposition to the background as well as being more visually similar to real life would make my brain happy. But I see the beauty of the natural symmetry you’re highlighting too – very well done.

Beautiful — and the nouveau style fits the dragonfly perfectly.

    I think it’s a great idea for a sign!

I love the sign, and the colours overall, but I feel like the words get lost a bit because of the lack of contrast. I would try making the lettering slightly bigger (I love the gradient effect), and the background green a few shades lighter. It’s a beautiful sign!

I love it! Maybe a little more contrast between the lettering and the background? I feel like people might not be able to see it from farther away! Def visiting your Etsy site, I’m loving the art nouveau vibes 🤩

    Beautiful work!!!

If I must nitpick: The dragonfly looks less important visually than the pink flowers. If the flowers aren’t contained to the frame, I don’t want the dragonfly’s wings to be either. He’s the star, he can be way bigger!

And I liked the other commenter’s idea about outlining in gold to make the dragonfly pop. If this is a sign to be printed, I’d increase the contrast on the text as well. Maybe repeating the light pink from below?

Idk, just spitballing. It’s really a lovely sign!
