Hello! This is my first time grafting anything so I am looking for some feedback on how I did. I bought bareroot root stock and potted some up and planted some in the ground in February/march. I plan to graft the rest after they’ve had a year to establish, but I experimented with a few grafts this year to see how it went.
I used local apple trees scions I had cut in the winter that had been in moist paper towels in bags in the fridge till grafting.
I did some whip and tongue, some bark grafts, and some using grafting scissors I bought.
They were grafted on April 9th, pics were taken on June 11.
Any feedback would be great on how they seem to be doing!
Also how long do I keep the grafting tape on for?
