Hundreds of people attended the Hidden Gardens of Clare event on Sunday for a day of exploring 19 private green havens.
Running from 11am to 5pm, the organisers from Clare in Bloom said this year’s event was extra special as half of the featured gardens were making their first public debut.
Nickie Carpenter, chairperson of Clare in Bloom, said: “The weather stayed dry all day — a real bonus in this topsy-turvy season.

“We would like to thank all garden openers, volunteers and helpers who made the day such a successful and fun community event.”
The dry weather allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the colourful plantings on display — ranging from intimate courtyards to expansive green spaces.
Beyond admiring the displays, some visitors also benefited from the garden owners as many shared free gardening tips and advice — offering practical insights that guests could incorporate into their own gardens.

The Vicarage garden served as a spot for refreshments where visitors had the chance to buy plants and books in the Market Square.
An ice cream pop-up in the square was also enjoyed by many.
Proceeds from the event, which are still being finalised, will be shared between Clare in Bloom as well as Clare Scouts, Cubs and Beavers.
