I've only had this one a few months but it flowered! I have other ones I've had for years but this is the only one that has ever flowered.

What type of air plant is this? And what happens next after it flowers?

I know some die after flowering but just want to mentally prepare myself for this one😅because the timing is crazy and I got this one on a really tough day, it feels some what symbolic.

For the most part when an air plant blooms that head stops growing. So that airplant you have in your hands will never get any bigger or grow any new leaves, however it will start growing pups. If you leave the pups attached to the original parent they will help support it and eventually they’ll produce pups and you’ll wind up with a big old clump of air plants.
