We just moved into a new house and they have a greenhouse on the property. I’d love to keep it if possible and we have extra polycarbonate sheets the previous owner left. There are some bends in the actual frame though. Is it worth it to try to fix up?

If you can find replacement frames for the bent and damaged ones, prolly. You can save the panes that are intact very easily but parts of the frame need replacing. You can’t unbreak rolled aluminum

Edit: salvageable, yes. Restoring it to original will be a bit more work

Heck yeah !! One that size new would be hundreds if not a thousand. I’d fix it up you’ll be happy you did

  3. Absolutely. Grab some extra metal and reinforce any of the bits that got bent. Throw that polycarb in and you’re in business!

I would say yes, frames still looking quite solid. Definitely worth to fix that up.

You could get new frame pieces to fix up the structure, but I see a lot of people reinforce those with 2x2s or 2x4s so you could just skip the metal frame pieces, but yeah I’d bet you can get it rebuilt quick.

Nope pack it up and ship it to me. The postage will be less than the cost of taking it to a local dump. Trust me.

Looks like a harbor freight model. You could buy a new one on sale for a few hundred bucks and replace the damaged parts and the panels with new ones and have a great setup with spare parts. We have the 6×8 harbor freight model and it’s been amazing. We reinforced it with 2×2’s and added solar exhaust fans and shelving. We also added a 12″ 1×2 and 4×4″ foundation underneath which I feel is essential for these models to give extra height.

    Total loss!

Where are you located? I might be willing to haul off that pile of garbage for around $50.
