I repotted it from a smaller nursery pot into this terra cotta pot with a chunky mix. It's dying fast, it's about half the size it was before.

The healthy pearls look plump and the unhealthy ones look soggy, so I’m guessing it’s overwatered. These retain water, so only water it when the pearls are starting to shrivel — maybe once every 3/4 weeks depending on the climate.

Pro tip… there’s a line down the middle of each pearl, water it when the “door closes.” Also, it needs lots of sun hitting the soil.

There’s been a few times where I can’t tell if the windows have closed but if you feel the peak and it squishes, it could use water! When it’s firm it’s all good.👍🏻

NQA How often do you water? Do you wait until it’s dry? I almost killed mine because I didn’t realize the soil was bad and she had root rot from me overwatering, so now I wait until it’s dry to the bottom of the pot (check with your finger or a wooden chopstick) These guys also seem to really love sunlight, mine prefers it, though she tolerates some bright indirect.
