I bought a pothos a few weeks ago and it was already pretty long so I cut some leaves off and put them in water. The roots on these leaves were exposed when I got it but I’m wondering if these can be saved?

Those look exactly as they are supposed to, there’s nothing wrong. Put em back in the water and they’ll continue to grow and be happy!

Yes, just put them back in a glass of water until the roots develop secondary roots
Mizzerella
you dont have to save them just plant them up. they are fine and can either be planted now or keep them in water until they get a little more roots. they are fine though.

They look very healthy. No life saving measures are needed. Could keep them in water longer yet or plant them and make sure they don’t dry out for too long.

What are we saving them from?

Looks good! If roots start getting black and/or slimy/mushy then that’s more cause for concern

These are aerial roots. You can continue to water propagate these cuttings as you’ve been doing, or you can pop them in soil and propagate them that way.
They’ll be fine, and you end up with new plants.

if the roots are soggy and pull off easy, than its root rot and will continue to rot if it isn’t fixed in a good time. cut them off and let dry for a little bit. if the roots are firm. its healthy leave it be.
