  1. We use empty toilet paper rolls for seed pots, not newspaper.
1st they are more stable and make it easier to separate them when its time to plant the seedings.
2nd no chemicals from the ink get released into the ground when they decompose.

And half of the things mentioned here like Coffee, coffee filters, babanas, onion peels, egg shells (we use chrushed shells to feed chicken) aso… are thrown onto a compost bin anyways, if you have a bigger garden. Use 3 bins next to each other. 3 ft wide, 6 ft long, 5 feet high. Thow old plants, kitchen waste (no meat of course) and even shredded wood (when you cut trees) onto the bin over one year, then let it rest 2 years, while you fill the other bins. After 3 years you have perfect soil for your garden going forward.

  2. These tips aren't just from the Amish, knowledge has been stolen and dispersed through the ages to certain groups, while excluding most indigenous groups, I MEAN THE REAL INDIGENOUS PEOPLE. The Vatican also has access to stolen information, which doesn't matter to a certain extent, but we need to stop giving credit to everybody except the indigenous people, bcs the Amish are foreigners here as well, and most everything they show today came from the people that were here before they came to this country.

  3. The egg pots seems like the plant will get root bound before it breaks down. Maybe crush the shell as you plant it.
We do plant eggs under our tomatoes it seems to do wonders though.

  4. Can plants that cant handle cold temperatures, if covered in wool, handle it outside, or will they still need to be brought indoors?

  5. Human hair is dangerous for birds! It can get tangled around their legs, causing amputation.
You can put hair (human and pet) in your compost bin though.

  6. As long as the drainage, water needs and PH are OK the nitrogen can be grabbed from the atmosphere with beans and nitrogen fixers. Moringa trees are a nitrogen fixer as well and can cast a nice shade on plants to prevent too much sun

  7. there is so many WRONG things in this video….. slugs don't like edgy eggshell…. yeah right. amish should sue you.

  8. Looking forward to using egg shells around tomatoes and peppers, and terracotta pots as ollas in my fast-drawing raised beds

  9. He should have mentioned worms imo. Easy hack to really boost your plants is to get a little worm farm going in the spring. I use a bucket or plastic nut containers I eat quite a bit and add worms as I find them outside the garden and feed them leaves, coffee grounds, scraps from salad type dishes we throw out and then every few weeks transfer them to a new container, collect their poop by filling the container with water and water the base of the plants. This has saved my garden also marigolds I plant all around first then plant target species but I think that was mentioned

  10. Beautiful!!!!
    Jesus loves you!!!!

    Salvation only through Jesus Christ

We believe that, owing to universal death through sin, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless born again; and that no degree of reformation however great, no attainments in morality, however high, no culture however attractive, no baptism or other ordinance however administered, can help the sinner to take even one step toward heaven; but a new nature imparted from above, a new life implanted by the Holy Spirit through the Word, is absolutely essential to salvation, and only those thus saved are sons of God. We believe also that our redemption has been accomplished solely by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was made to be sin and was made a curse for us, dying in our room and stead; and that no repentance, no feeling, no faith, no good resolutions, no sincere efforts, no submission to the rules and regulations of any church, nor all the churches that have existed since the days of the Apostles, can add in the very least degree to the value of the blood or to the merit of the finished work wrought for us by Him who united in His person true and proper deity with perfect and sinless humanity. (Leviticus 17:11; Isaiah 64:6; Matthew 26:28; John 3:7-18; Romans 5:6-9; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 3:13; 6:15; Ephesians 1:7; Philippians 3:4-9; Titus 3:5; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:18-19, 23.)

We believe that the new birth of the believer comes only through faith in Christ and that repentance is a vital part of believing and is no way in itself a separate and independent condition of salvation; nor are any other acts, such as confession, baptism, prayer, or faithful service, to be added to believing as a condition of salvation. (John 1:12; 3:16, 18, 36; 5:24; 6:29; Acts 13:39; 16:31; Romans 1:16-17; 3:22, 26; 4:5; 10:4; Galatians 3:22.)

  11. Wow! Thank you so much!! I'm definitely going to try growing sweet potatoes in a jar of water as a homeschool science activity. We would love to try growing mushrooms in coffee grounds too. We will have to figure out where to get the spores….

  14. Omg All they're all true and practical. This difficult time when everything is expensive this is what we need. They're not small hacks. They're big money saver hacks. During the pandemic I have no problem going to the stores because everything are in my backyard. Growing up in the farm in the Pacific this is what my late father did. He's not even Amish.😂
My parents gone and my siblings ignore my late parents house but one of my siblings had a hardtime in life went back home and started planting again. Learning from her which she even discovered herself. Just cut a piece of your plant or tree and just replant them omg they grew as heck. Thank you my Amish friends I'm always fond of your organic way of life and stories. Loved it. God bless ❤

  15. Thank you so much for some really "great" gardening tips. There are a few methods I have never used before, but I can't wait to try in this years garden.
