Hi everyone!

Plant mom here. My babies tend to me Alocasias, Monsteras, African Violets. I have added String of Frogs lately, as well as Ferns.

Today I found this Pothos at Lowes. I have seen variegated pothos before, but none with fenestrations. So I grabbed it.

From my research I am pretty sure it is a Pothos Marble KING. Also known as a epipremnum pinnatum marble.

My questions:

  1. Is my ID correct?
  2. What soil does it like? I have a bag of aroid soil. Will that work?
  3. Can I wick water it?
  4. Should I up-pot? The roots are coming out.
  5. Should I trim off the black bits of the roots?
  6. Can I have it hang? Or should it climb?

Thank you! Excited to dip my toes into a new baby category.

    1. Not sure
    2. Any well draining soil will be good
    3. I don’t know what that is but if it works for other plants it’ll probably work for this one
    4. Only repot if it’s more than 50% roots. Sometimes roots reach the bottom before it’s ready for a repot.
    5. Probably
    6. Whichever aesthetic you like best. Leaves will remain the same size if you let it hang. Leaves will grow larger if it climbs. Letting it hang will be easier to maintain for your first time
